Workday admin creates the integration system user (ISU)
A dedicated Workday account with read access to Worker / Position / Time Off domains. Read-only by default; write access scoped to absence transactions only.
Generate Workday OAuth 2.0 client credentials
Inside Workday tenant config: Register API Client → grant the ISU client credentials grant. SVDY stores client_id + client_secret encrypted in AWS Secrets Manager.
Map SVDY departments to Workday Org Units
A one-time mapping wizard inside your organization admin pulls your Workday org structure and asks for confirmation. Departments without a clean match are flagged before sync starts.
Enable the daily sync schedule
Workers refresh nightly at 02:00 UTC tenant-local time. Time-off transactions sync within 5 minutes via Workday's real-time webhook.
